The Herend Porcelain Manufactory was founded in 1826. Herend’s first world-wide recognition came at the 1851 Great Exhibition in London, where Herend products won a number of glittering prizes and, more importantly, caught the eye of Queen Victoria, who immediately ordered a dinner service with a Chinese-style flower and butterfly pattern for Windsor Castle.
Herend is an exclusive hand-painted brand, each piece is a masterpiece. Dinner, tea and coffee services, as well as giftware and figurines, 16,000 shapes in 5,000 patterns. Herend trains all its craftsmanship of 250 modellers and 630 painters and produces hand-made porcelain that continues to be coveted by connoisseurs and collectors all over the world.
